Cape Story By The Sea Civic Association

9th Annual Member’s Holiday Party

The last general meeting of the year is also a holiday party for CSBTS members.  The party will consists of hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, door Prizes and festive music.   An abbreviated meeting will be followed by the small social. Come and meet your fellow Civic Association members!

Date: Monday December 8, 2008

Time: 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Place: Virginia Beach Resort Center

DECEMBER 6th, 2008, Saturday annual Holiday on the Bay Lighted Boat Parade sponsored by the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club. The parade will leave the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club at approx. 6PM and head west towards the Lesner Bridge and make a big loop and track back to the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club.   Awards will be given to the Best-lighted boats AND to the Best-lighted homes on the bay.   Civic League members who would like to be in the parade or are decorating their homes may obtain more information from William Stemple at willamjsr@cs.com or 621-5050.  Wonder if our Wake Forest Parade Boat could float along??

 

January is beginning of 2009 Membership Drive and our first meeting ( Jan 12th)  will have Bike Trail concerns as an agenda item.

 The Cape Story by the Sea Civic Association has asked the City to evaluate what can be done to make the bike path safer for bikers, walkers and drivers.  City Staff will present the possible options at the January 12th 2009 general meeting.  If you are concerned about the safety conditions along the bike path, if you have an additional suggestion or if you have an opinion about adding stop signs at the bike path on the long streets, you are highly encouraged to attend the January general meeting at the Resort Conference Hotel. 

 

Next Park &  Bike Trail Clean Up – Sunday January 11, 2009  2PM  Meet in the Park to Volunteer.
