VI.   Unfinished Business

  • Storm Water and Flood Damage follow up –must report concerns and problems to Public Works 385-1470     
  • Membership for 2010 – SPRING NEWSLETTER has membership application for 2010—JOIN NOW for $10 for whole family –MEMBERSHIP is open to ALL (Owners and Renters) persons living in Cape Story. Please provide READABLE email to be added to or to remain on the CSBTS Email List.  Chance for $100 drawing with each membership application.  Application attached to this agenda
  • The Sandalwood Walkover– work started plan ADA-American Disabilities Act- requirements to be met and plan to be finished by Memorial Day.            The Va. Pilot reported Fishing Pier to be rebuilt also 

V.     New Business   

  •  Spring FlingMay 23rd– 4PM -7PM in the Cape Story Park–  rain Date May 30th  –  a chance to submit THEMES For JULY 4th PARADE-  Volunteers needed  – Call Todd Solomon: 667-8533
  • VBgov web site survey request- citizens survey requested by City to improve Web site, online at  – click on “Redesign” – available until May 16, 2010
  • Shore Drive Safety Initiative subcommittee meetings in May-David Williams, Shore Drive Safety Initiative 2010 Chairman    CSBTS and CHS were the two primary civic associations behind the 35 mph on our section of Shore Drive.   Attached is a link for the Shore Drive Advisory Committee 2006 Safety Task Force Recommendations to provide background information and basis for future SDSI initiatives. 
  • VBCCO-:  May 12, 2010 –  7PM at the  Meyera Obendorf Central  library-will hear arguments for and against the proposal to allow electronic billboards. Whichever side of this issue you are on –or even if you don’t know what the buzz is all about- you won’t want to miss this meeting
  •  SDCC –     Check for current information on Everything you wanted to know about Shore Drive– CSBTS residents may attend as guests   MONDAY, May 24, 2010 at 7:30PM at the Ocean Park Rescue Squad Station- watch emails for updates
