          DUES for 2008 for Membership are DUE $10 per family and check that your email address is accurate if you desire to stay on CSBTS email. Also sign up to volunteer on a neighborhood committee by checking one of the committee boxes on the dues form and to receive Neighborhood Watch email add your email address.

  • Neighborhood Watch Update – Regina Wallace-  ad hoc committee – park patrol under old business
  • Beautification & Clean-up Committee January 27th Clean Up completed – Shirley Drye and Dee Simpson   
  • Military Liaison Update- Gary Forest, new  Ft. Story  contacts noted: Monica Miller, Information Officer : monica.k.miller@us.army.mil Ft. Story phone: 757.422.7101 ext 225 and Tracie Culbreth: tracie.s.culbreth@us.army.mil phone: 757.422.7311 – troops will be deploying and returning soon
  • SkipJack: – Ginnie and Tracy Stover   Deadline Feb 15th

 VI.        Old Business

  • Sailboats on Dunes  comment posted on web site- Discussion
  • Response to  “Park Patrol”   (only one response at this time for fast action response).  Discussion on possible neighborhood patrol and fast action call list.   Other Options: Citizens Police Academy (starts Feb 26, 11 weeks) and Senior Citizens Police Academy (starts March 4th,  8 weeks) with Applications due by Feb 15, 2008 download from www.vbgov.com

 

  • Update on Cape Story Neighborhood Signs – New Meeting signs (Coastal Signs:  www.coastalsigns.com)
  • Contact Todd at capestory@sybercom.net  NEW CHAIRPERSON NEEDED for Fireworks on the Bay event. 
  • Marina Shores – Email letters sent to City Planner, Mrs. Lasley, Delegate Purkey and Councilman Wood. Continue to watch for public hearings and comment opportunities. Plans appear changed to business and restaurants and boatel and parking garages. Parcels of land adjacent to Long Creek from Marina shores to Wake Forest appear to be owned by Mrs. Levine.   Mr. Nutter postponed presentation to SDCC until SPRING 2008
